Terms of Use (EULA)

Effective date: [Effective date — to be set at release]. Last updated: October 2, 2026. These terms are between you and Westeresch B.V. and cover the Sacred Feed app for iPhone and the website sacredfeed.com.

1. Who we are and what you are agreeing to

Sacred Feed is published by Westeresch B.V., a private limited company registered in the Netherlands, [registered address, Netherlands], Chamber of Commerce (KVK) number [Chamber of Commerce (KVK) number] ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using Sacred Feed you agree to these Terms of Use and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

The license to use the app itself is governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. These Terms add to it. If the two conflict, Apple's agreement controls for the license and these Terms control for everything else.

2. Who may use Sacred Feed

• You must be at least 13 years old.
• If you are under 18, you may use Sacred Feed only if a parent or guardian has read these Terms and agrees to them on your behalf. That parent or guardian is responsible for your use and may withdraw their consent at any time by deleting the app.
• Where the law requires it (for example the Texas App Store Accountability Act), Apple may send us a signal about the age range of the account holder. We use it only to comply with the law and do not store it longer than needed. See our Privacy Policy.

3. The app: free and Premium

Free. The complete Bible in every bundled translation, the verse feed, reading, likes, saved verses, notes, streaks and daily reminders. No account is needed and the app works offline.

Sacred Feed Premium. An optional auto-renewable subscription that adds Deep Study notes, reading plans, home-screen widgets, share cards and removes upgrade cards from the feed. The exact contents may be refined over time; what you get is always described on the purchase screen before you buy.

4. License and restrictions

Subject to these Terms and Apple's agreement, we grant you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sacred Feed on Apple devices you own or control. You may not:

• copy, extract, scrape or bulk-export Deep Studies, reading plans, illustrations or other content we own, or redistribute them in any form;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or modify the app, or circumvent the subscription;
• access the app or our content by automated means;
• resell, rent or lend the app or your subscription;
• use the app in a way that breaks the law or harms others.

None of this restricts the Scripture text itself, which is public domain (section 7).

5. Subscriptions and free trials

Sacred Feed Premium is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's App Store, offered as a yearly or a monthly plan. Prices are shown in the app, in your local currency, before you confirm a purchase, and may vary by country.

• Free trial. New subscribers get a 7-day free trial. When the trial ends, the subscription you chose begins and your Apple Account is charged, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase, or at the end of the free trial.
• Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period and at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
• How to cancel. Open iPhone Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, choose Sacred Feed, and tap Cancel Subscription. You can also open the purchase screen in the app and choose Manage Subscription. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for; you keep Premium until then. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
• Price changes. If we change a price, Apple will tell you in advance and, where the law requires, ask you to agree before the new price applies. If you do not agree, the subscription ends at the close of the current period.
• Refunds. Apple is the merchant for all purchases and handles refunds under its own terms. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves and no partial refunds are given for unused time.
• Restore purchases. If you reinstall the app or get a new iPhone, use Restore Purchases in the app's Settings while signed in to the same Apple Account.
• Family Sharing is not supported at this time.
• Promotional offers we may run have their own stated duration and price and otherwise follow these Terms.

Consumers in the EU and UK. You normally have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase of digital content. Because the subscription is supplied by Apple, that right and the way to exercise it are set out in Apple's Media Services terms, and Apple handles the request.

6. Nature of the content

Please read this section carefully.

• We are independent. Westeresch B.V. is a company, not a church, ministry or religious organization. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or speaking for any church, denomination or religious authority.
• Studies are one reading. Deep Studies, plain-word summaries, cross references and reading plans are educational and devotional aids. They reflect one reading of the text, drawn from public-domain commentaries. They are not Scripture and not the official teaching of any church. Where traditions read a passage differently we try to say so, but we may miss it.
• Not advice. Nothing in Sacred Feed is pastoral counseling, spiritual direction, or medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice. If you are in crisis in the United States, call or text 988; elsewhere, contact local emergency services.
• Not a substitute for community. An app is not a faith community, a pastor or a sacrament. We hope Sacred Feed helps you read; we do not want it to replace the people around you.
• Translations. Scripture is reproduced word for word from the public-domain translations listed on our Licenses page. The Catholic Public Domain Version is published without ecclesiastical approval (imprimatur).
• You remain responsible for your own study, beliefs and decisions.

7. Content and intellectual property

Scripture. The Bible translations in the app are in the public domain. You are free to copy, quote and share the Scripture text as you like. Trademark and attribution notes are on the Licenses page.

Our content. Deep Study texts, plain-word summaries, reading plans, the illustrations, the mascot Pip, the app's design, the name Sacred Feed and the logo are the copyright and trademarks of Westeresch B.V., all rights reserved. Illustrations were created with the help of AI image tools and finished by hand.

Share cards. You may share verse cards and snapshots that the app creates for personal, non-commercial purposes, keeping any attribution the card carries.

Your notes. Notes you write belong to you. They stay on your device. We never see them, so please back them up with Settings › Export my data.

Third-party content such as fonts, commentaries and cross-reference data is used under the licenses listed on the Licenses page.

8. AI-assisted content

Deep Studies are drafted in advance with the help of large language models from public-domain sources, then pass automated checks, review by a panel of separate AI reviewers, and spot checks by the maker. They are shipped inside the app and are never generated while you use it; no personal data about you is ever sent to an AI system. Despite review, Deep Studies may contain errors or omissions and are provided as educational notes only. Every study has a Report an issue option. 9. Changes to the app and to these Terms

We may add, change or remove features, translations or content, and we may stop offering the app. If we change these Terms in a way that matters, we will post the new version here with a new effective date and tell you in the app before it takes effect. Changes do not apply retroactively to disputes that arose before the change. If you keep using the app after a change takes effect, you accept it; if you do not agree, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.

10. Termination

You may stop using Sacred Feed at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any subscription. We may suspend or end your license if you seriously break these Terms. Sections 6, 7, 11, 12, 14 and 15 continue to apply after termination.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SACRED FEED IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEEP STUDIES AND OTHER NOTES ARE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR IN CONFORMITY WITH THE TEACHING OF ANY CHURCH. Some laws do not allow these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF SACRED FEED. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US$50.

This limit does not apply to damage caused by our intent or gross negligence, to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or to any liability that cannot be limited under the law where you live, including mandatory consumer-protection law.

13. Apple

Apple is not a party to these Terms. Apple is not responsible for the app, its content, maintenance or support; we are. If the app fails to conform to a warranty that applies, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price; Apple has no other warranty obligation. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US government embargo and not on any US list of prohibited or restricted parties, and that you will follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app.

14. Copyright complaints

Sacred Feed has no user-generated content. If you believe material in the app or on this website infringes your copyright, email app@sacredfeed.com with: the work you believe is infringed; where the material appears; your contact details; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized; a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and your physical or electronic signature.

15. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Nothing in these Terms limits the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country or state where you live. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim in the courts of your home country as well as in the Netherlands.

If you have a problem, please write to app@sacredfeed.com first. We will try to resolve it informally within 60 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way will be heard by the competent court in the Netherlands, subject to the consumer rights above. There is no arbitration clause in these Terms.

16. General

• These Terms, with the Privacy Policy and Apple's agreement, are the whole agreement between you and us about Sacred Feed.
• If a court finds any part unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
• If we do not enforce a right at once, we have not given it up.
• We may transfer these Terms to a successor of our business; you may not transfer them without our consent.
• Any provision that is void where you live does not apply to you.
