Accessibility

Last reviewed: October 2026. Sacred Feed for iPhone and sacredfeed.com are made by Westeresch B.V.

We want Sacred Feed to be readable by everyone. Scripture has always been read aloud, in large letters and by touch, and the app should be no different. This page says what we do, what we know is not finished, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

The website

sacredfeed.com aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. In practice that means: body text in dark ink on a light paper background at well above the required contrast; everything reachable and visible by keyboard; animations that stop when your system asks for reduced motion; headings in order; real HTML text, never text inside images; and no third-party "accessibility overlay" widgets, which we do not consider a fix.

The app

  • VoiceOver. Verses, studies, buttons and the feed are labeled and read in order.
  • Dynamic Type. The app follows your system text size, including the larger accessibility sizes. The reading view also has its own text-size control.
  • Reduce Motion. When Reduce Motion is on in iPhone Settings › Accessibility › Motion, transitions become simple fades.
  • Contrast. Text is dark ink on a light paper background throughout; color is never the only way information is shown.
  • No account, no timers. There is nothing to log in to and nothing that times out.

Known limitations

  • Decorative illustrations, including the scenes with Pip, carry empty alternative text. They do not contain information, so screen readers skip them. Screenshots that demonstrate the app have descriptive text.
  • We test on recent iPhones with current iOS. Older devices may behave differently.

Tell us

If a page or screen is hard to use, email app@sacredfeed.com. Describe what you were trying to do and, if you can, which assistive technology you use. We answer within 2 business days and treat accessibility problems as bugs, not feature requests.
